Earlier today we noted the possibility of FIFA 15 releasing this year with Luis Suarez playing along side Neymar and Messi for Barcelona after a transfer from Liverpool FC, although since that article we’ve seen Uruguay defeat Italy with Suarez taking a bite out of a Juventus player, Giorgio Chiellini.
This has started quite the discussion among gamers and football fans, with some people claiming Luis Suarez should be banned from playing for LFC, Uruguay, and in fact from football altogether. Others, especially some gamers, wonder why this ability isn’t in FIFA 14 already and want FIFA 15 even more realistic with the ability to foul badly.
How far should fouling go in FIFA 15? We know the developers aim to make football games as realistic as possible, but bringing the ability to bite like Suarez seems to have done today seems strange. One crazy gamer said, “I would love the ability to perform more vicious attacks on players in FIFA 15, of course suitable punishment should be given if I get caught”.
Another gamer thinks, “The football world isn’t a boxing ring and the FIFA 14 game isn’t one either, even boxing doesn’t allow biting, so why should it be allowed in football? With that said, some games do allow more extreme attacks and this could be unlocked on PC through a mod if not by default”.
Personally, we find it hard to see how FIFA wouldn’t ban Luis Suarez from playing football and also wonder if FC Barcelona would really want this player after today. Suarez was a hero a few days ago, but if this really is a bite for the second time, then it looks like he could be in real trouble this time.
Do you think Neymar and Messi would still want Suarez playing for Barcelona if proven he did bite Chiellini? Another gamer said, “If Suarez gets banned for biting, I think he shouldn’t be featured in FIFA 15 at all thanks to the bad name he’s giving this sport”.
Leave your comments below about what you saw today and if Suarez should play in FIFA 15 after biting, also take a look at a video below this article showing a close up of what clearly looks like a bite.
