The Lexus LFA supercar will not be available until December, for those who were hoping to get their hands on one of these exotic sports cars — then we have to inform you that the 500 units have now all been sold. The production version of the LFA has a price tag of $375,000, but there is a more expensive Nurburgring Edition.
The Lexus LFA is powered by a 4.8-liter V10 engine, which delivers 560 horsepower and propels the car to 203mph and a 0 to 60 time of 4.4 seconds. We showed you a video of the LFA pitted against a Nissan GT-R, the latter did much better on the start before the former got its legs. The reason for this is because the Lexus supercar is powered by the rear wheels — so takes time to get all that traction under control.
Each LFA is to be built by hand; users will be able to choose what color they ant the exterior and interior, along with seats, brake calipers and other design features. It is thought that there are over 30 billion color combinations.
The chassis is made from a light yet strong carbon fiber-reinforced polymer, which we discussed in a recent post. The exterior of the LFA features sharp lines, much like an old Toyota Supra from the 80s.
