Love them or hate them, you have to admit that Lenovo’s Yoga 910 laptop is innovative, although its fragile bezel and watchband hinge is a cause for concern for some of you.
There was already a business model, the ThinkPad X1 Yoga model, but the 910 is aimed squarely at consumers, and so is thinner and offers more in the way of key features that only consumers worry about – one of which is design.
Take that hinge for example, it is able to fold 360 degrees into either kiosk or stand mode, and then back to work like a Windows 10 laptop. However, you only have to look at the complex hinge and all the wires that hide inside to realise that this would be a costly thing if things were to go wrong – and we all know how fragile such devices become after a lot of use.
Some people will also be concerned about just how close to the edge that bezel is, as it could fracture. We know that Lenovo would have tested it to the extreme, but we know it only takes that one heavy-handed moment, and crack, you have a huge bill.
You should not let little things like that put you off, as none of these issues have been proven, and we have to say, the Yoga 910 is a fine looking device, which you can clearly see form the video below.
In terms of price, it will start at £1,099, although an exact release date has yet to be announced, although it will be later this month.
