Lenovo’s Windows 8.1 tablet with Intel Bay Trail

Lenovo has just increased their personal device inventory by announcing the Miix2 8-inch tablet, which comes with the latest version of Windows 8.1 and an Intel Bay Trail quad-core processor. However, there is still more to come from this tablet, and could be a thorn in the side for the Surface Pro 2, even though that product is said to cater for a wider market.

Some of the other Lenovo Miix2 8-inch tablet specs that could appeal to you are the IPS wide-angle HD display with a 800 x 1280 resolution, 5-megapixel and 2-megapixel camera, and up to 128GB of internal storage. There is even an optional stylus.

Going back to its processor, the Intel Bay Trail-T Quad-Core and integrated HD graphics works in perfect harmony with Clear Video HD, which is important for smooth video performance.

The Lenovo Miix2 8-inch tablet is aimed at consumer and business users because of its productivity for office and home use. An added bonus is the inclusion of Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013 and a cover that doubles as a stand, which we have seen appear on several other Windows tablets.

If you are interested, the Lenovo Miix2 8-inch price is $300. However, if you would rather a different tablet from the brand, then you might want to consider the IdeaPad A10, as it is on a different platform.

More details can be found on the Lenovo website.
