When looking to buy a new Android tablet, please take your blinkers off and look for another brand and not just one from Samsung. We say this because we know the Android tablet market is flooded by Samsung models, but if you look around there are some great other options, the Lenovo Tab 2 A10 being a fine example with its 10-inch display and 16GB of storage.
Like all products, we know that the Lenovo Tab 2 A10 reviews will divide opinion, which we have already seen over the past few months, but then again, you are never going to get a unanimity on something like this – not even the high-end iPad Pro has pleased every person that has reviewed it.
Lenovo Tab 2 A10 10 Inch 16GB Tablet specs – The 10.1-inch Full HD, 1920 x 1200 resolution IPS Capacitive touchscreen display offers crisp images, making it a dream to watch movies, and play games on. The cinema sound is said to be immersive, although we have yet to come across a tablet that blows our mind with its audio quality.
The 1.5GHz MediaTek mt8165 quad core processor is more than up to the task, although its 2GB of RAM can often struggle because of using Android and a UI on top of that. Do not let the 16GB of internal storage put you off, as this is always a cheaper option, and then a simple memory card upgrade will help to increase your storage capacity.
Speaking of its operating system, it makes use of Android 5.0, which is getting on a bit, but we highly doubt the Lenovo Tab 2 A10 will be getting the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update anytime soon.
When looking over a few Lenovo Tab 2 A10 reviews, we can clearly see that there is a difference of opinion, with the tablet getting different ratings and verdicts.
Laptop Mag has one of the more in-depth reviews and has rated this model 4 out of 5 stars. They were impressed with its battery life and screen, although believe that the Asus ZenPad S 8.0, which is similarly priced comes with better performance and double the amount of onboard storage.
CNET has only given this model 3 out of the 5 stars on offer. They also liked the Full HD screen, and the pre-installed Dolby app for improved audio quality. However, they were not happy about how uncomfortable it was to hold, and the undesirably long load times.
If you are looking for a third opinion, then we have a video review for you to look at below as well.
