Lenovo IdeaPad U260 First Impressions: A Striking Laptop

If you were to ask a number of people which Lenovo IdeaPad do they believe has the best design, I bet they would say the U260. That title used to belong to the U110, but the new laptop/netbook now has some competition. The reason for this is its magnesium-aluminum alloy and leather-like finish.

Joanna Stern from Engadget has had some hands-on time with the device, and looks to have been impressed with what she saw. The laptop has a 12.5-inch display and a build quality that feels as though Apple has made it. The finish looks to be solid, something that is important to Lenovo.

There are a number of models, one of which will come with a glass trackpad, but the review unit that Engadget had was not one of them. For more images of the Lenovo IdeaPad U260 click here; Engadget will have an in-depth review of the device shortly.

Joel Durham Jr from PC World says that the U260 has the power of a laptop, but only weighs as much as a netbook. The specs are as follows, Core i3-380UM processor and a massive 4GB of RAM, which should be more than enough for your computing needs.

Do you like the idea of sacrificing size but not performance?
