For those that are considering buying the Lenovo A8 8-inch 16GB tablet from Argos this week, we have a quick heads-up to confirm that the tablet is not on the list for a Android 5.0 Lollipop update.
This affordable Android tablet ships with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and although it is upgradeable to Android 4.4 Kitkat, sadly it looks like it won’t be moving up to Lollipop at all.
This has been confirmed over in a Lenovo support article which we have supplied for you, highlighting the Lenovo A850 tablet with the ‘upgrade not available’ message.
Regardless of this, it is still a very capable tablet with a quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and room to expand with MicroSD card.
Detailed Lenovo A8 8-inch 16GB tablet specs can be seen over at Lenovo’s official website here, while those looking for some Lenovo A8 tablet review feedback should head to Amazon here – the majority of reviews are all extremely positive, with most saying that this is one tablet that you simply need to own for the asking price.
Let us know if you are thinking of buying this from Argos and the best price that you have seen for it so far if you have been shopping around.
Is no Android 5.0 Lollipop update a problem for you, or are you happy to stay on Jelly Bean?
