Since smartphones became so big in the cell phone market it has been a third-party case makers dream, as people look for ways to make their handsets look individual, along with wanting to protect them. This is more so the case when you have an expensive model, like the iPhone 6, Galaxy S5 and the HTC One M8 just three examples. There is a good choice available, although if you are looking for a tough, waterproof solution, then LifeProof and OtterBox are usually two of the top brands.
However, there could soon be another to consider and that is the Lenmar HAVOC iPhone 6 case, which is a new Indiegogo campaign. Most of us will never need a serious case like this because the likelihood of us going outside and putting our handsets through extremes is highly unlikely. However, for those that do, it is always nice to have a choice.
Even though this is a crowd-source campaign, pre-orders have already started, but do not worry about this being any sort of scam, as Lenmar already has a range of cases, which can be purchased from several online stores.
What the Lenmar HAVOC iPhone 6 waterproof rugged case has to offer – First of all there is that built-in 3,200mAh battery for a further 110 percent of battery life, something LifeProof and OtterBox does not offer. This case is also IP65 rated and can be used in the water, although we suspect only to a few feet. However, it is the shock resistant technology that will be of most interest to you, as it makes certain you will not damage your iPhone 6 during extreme conditions.
We already mentioned at the end of September that Lenmar would already be working on a case, although they never had any details on it, just a place to register your interest. At lest this shows how serious they are, although makes you wonder why they would need backing for a new case when they already have a good business model— unless the money they make on each case is very minimal and so do not have a high operating profit?
More details on this case can be found on the Indiegogo website, although we do worry that its goal will not be met. You can also watch the video below to see if this is a case you feel can rival others.
