LED vs. LCD vs. Plasma TV explained in 3 minutes

When it comes to technology with televisions it keeps changing and the amount of tech terms confuse some consumers. The most popular types of TVs you can pickup right now are OLED, Plasma, LED and LCD.

Today, we wanted to feature a 3-minute video that aims to give some people a quick understanding of the differences between these technologies. This video won’t be for all our readers, as some of you will know the differences between LED, LCD and Plasma but others might find the information contained in this video extremely handy before purchasing their next big screen.

Currently, LCD is the most popular TV technology right now and while LED is basically still an LCD TV, it has some advantages thanks to the way it can utilize Micro Dimming to create truer blacks although some people class an LED as a higher-end LCD TV. It is worth noting that LED TVs use a lot less power when compared to Plasma and even traditional LCD TVs.
