Latest Samsung Galaxy S8 news on voice assistant capabilities

Artificial intelligence is moving along at a worryingly alarming rate, and it looks as though Samsung is gearing up to up the ante when it comes to AI technology. They have filed for a trademark, which signifies its intention for the Galaxy S8 voice assistant capabilities.

We know that you cannot really class voice assistant as truly AI, but it’s the first step, although not sure people will think that about S Voice assistant, as it’s not been the same sort of success that Google has had with Google Assistant, Apple with Siri, or Microsoft with Cortana.

However, this latest news that points to the Galaxy S8 means Samsung is going to make more of an effort. In terms of its name, we are not certain what the release version will be, although the name that has been trademarked is Bixby.

From what we can see, Samsung Bixby does look as though it will be a very intelligent system, although we know that Samsung said something very similar about S Voice – although you would hope they have sense learned from its mistakes.
