Latest Lamborghini Asterion eye candy shows exclusivity

The Lamborghini Asterion has yet to enter production because it is still a concept car with the aim of taking on the Ferrari LaFerrari, McLaren P1 and the Porsche 918 Spyder. Depending who you ask, many people will say the Asterion will be able to give them a run for their money, only if the specs and design stays pretty much the same as we see now.

Autocar has been given privileged access giving you some new Lamborghini Asterion eye candy for you, as they have 44 new exclusive images, which you can see here. We would have liked to tease you with some of them, but for obvious reasons it is better for you to head over the their website instead, seeing as though they have their name on each image.

The 44 images are truly awesome and gives you a closer look at the Lamborghini Asterion’s exterior and interior, even down to the styling of the lights, steering wheel and other such minor details. However, the longer I look at it, the more it reminds me of the Ford GT, albeit with a few modern twists.

Reminder of engine specs and proposed performance — The 5.2-litre V10 petrol engine will produce 602 horsepower and is the same one used in the Huracan. This will work in conjunction with electric motors, which are said to produce 296 horsepower, more than the units powering F1 cars. When you put the two power units together you get a combined power output of 898bhp.

Top speed — You should be able to reach 78 mph with just the electric motors or 199 mph combined, along with a 0-62 mph time of 3 seconds.
