Latest 2015 Ford F-150 and Mustang redesign eye candy

Ford may be on their back foot in Australia, but they seem to be keeping the momentum going on their home soil, and the recent spy shots of the 2015 Ford F-150 and Mustang are proof of just this. Most car companies usually have one special model being tested on the streets, but for the Detroit auto maker to have two shows they are determined to give their customers what they want, which is an awesome truck and muscle car — but can they deliver?

Like the Toyota Corolla, the upcoming F-150 will be an all-new model, but you wouldn’t know it from the heavily camouflaged prototype that has been driving around the streets. It’s hard to make out any discerning feature from these images, but we already know it will take many of the design features from the Atlas, which was a concept vehicle Ford decided to show off during the 2013 Detroit Auto Show.

The Ford F-150 price will be a concern, because we expect Ford to use different materials to construct the vehicle, and when you consider the other changes, the cost could spiral out of control. It’s for this reason why they will need to rein these changes in a little.

As for the 2015 Ford Mustang, this again has a huge amount of camouflage, although you can make out the smaller headlamps in an image seen here. However, what we can see is that the new model looks smaller than the current model, which means it should also be lighter. This should help the power-to-weight ratio.

The 2015 Ford Mustang engine choice could be a 3.7-liter V6, which is used in the current model or the 5.0-liter V8 monster, which will surely pack a punch? However, we do know that the 2015 Ford Mustang UK version will come with a smaller engine, the 2.3-litre four-cylinder EcoBoost. It’s not known if this will be an option for the US, but a more fuel-efficient Mustang would be welcome — well by some of you anyway.
