Lamborghini Veneno Roadster price justification

It was at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year that we got to see the Lamborghini Veneno, and while some of you thought it was ugly, there were others who found beauty in the radical styling. It will be the latter who will be happy about a Roadster version, which sees the roof removed, giving the occupants a more exhilarating drive.

There had already been rumors of the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster, but this is the first time we have seen some official images, thanks to Autoblog. If you thought the previous version was a hard hitter on your wallet, then you are in for a bigger shock.

Lamborghini Veneno Roadster price justification — The price of the Roadster version is to be about €3.3 million or $4.5 million. There are several reasons for this; the first is that there will only be a few examples, which makes this a highly desirable car for those with a huge amount of disposable income.

Even though it has no roof, the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster specs will be pretty much the same as the roofed version, give or take one or two changes. You will get a 6.5-liter V12, 750 horsepower engine, which will help propel you from 0-62 mph in 2.9 seconds and go on to a top speed of 220 mph.

It does seem as though Lamborghini is happy with the styling of the Veneno because not much has changed with the Roadster version. However, that extra price for what is essentially less car is mind-blowing; it takes the saying “less is more” to a whole new meaning.

Are you happy with the styling and the price, or are things now getting way out of control for the super-rich?
