Back in March we provided our readers with a trailer for the much-awaited L.A. Noire game, which appeared to show some sort of online feature called Social Club. Now it appears that Rockstar Games has decided to shed a little more light on the new Social Club features.
According to an article by Richard Mitchell over at joystiq.com, those who long into the new Social Club feature will automatically unlock the Chicago Lightning Suit, which will the main protagonist Cole Phelps will be able to wear once he becomes a detective.
The Chicago Lightning Suit is said to improve Phelps’ machine gun and shotgun accuracy, although we’re unsure how exactly. The Social Club feature will also enable players to ‘Ask the Community’ during times when Phelps is interviewing suspects and witnesses.
When faced with the decision on whether or not someone is telling the truth, Phelps can ‘Ask the Community’ to see the percentages of what other Social Club members chose when they were in the same situation. However, this feature does require Intuition Points to be able to use.
Other features that will be available via the Social Club website include game statistics, Achievements and Trophy tracking and a 100 percent completion checklist. The website also features a Case Tracker, which enables players to access Phelps’ notebook.
