Kneber Botnet Virus: Did you get infected?

Some very worrying news to report to you now, as it has been confirmed that a computer virus has affected over 75,000 computer systems, spread across 2,500 business and government agencies worldwide.

As reported from CRN, the virus has been identified as the ‘Kneber Botnet Virus’, according to security researchers over at NetWitness.

The virus is thought to be a version of the previous ‘Zeus Spyware’ program and has the ability to gain access to your login information for email, social networking sites and financial databases.

As you can imagine, this is a huge problem as hackers can then use this information to duplicate financial accounts, as well as misuse important government information.

According to CRN, the virus originated in Europe and China, and has now spread worldwide, causing havoc for affected users.
