While it still may be some time until we see our dreams realized with a Kingdom Hearts game on the PS Vita, Square Enix are still hard at work on an HD collection of the game, which fans will know as Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix. The highly anticipated game is due for a release in Japan very soon, and we now have some decent gameplay to show you, giving you an idea of what to expect when the US and EU versions are finally out.
Unfortunately, the game won’t be localized until towards the end of the year, with Square-Enix committing to a Fall release for both US and EU territories. That means that if you really want to get the game at the first opportunity, you’ll have to import the game online from places like Hong Kong, which will come with the Japanese language option.
Some RPG veterans like to have the original Japanese voiceovers in the game anyway, so we have a feeling that importing will be a genuine possibility for a lot of you. If that is the case for you, you’ll be interested to see that Play-Asia are currently taking pre-orders for the Japanese version for just under $80 US.
That obviously isn’t cheap, but it will test to see how much of a fan you really are if you can’t wait for an English version. Play-Asia aren’t stupid either and you can just tell by that high pricing that a lot of gamers are willing to import when the Japanese version is out.
As you debate what option is best for you, take a look at some Japanese gameplay above – the updated HD visuals sure look pretty. Let us know if you are definitely willing to import and what you think of that $80 price.
