Kinect For Xbox 360 – Low use of CPU power

Microsoft’s Kinect – the motion control device for the Xbox 360 games console — is about to launch soon, and we’ve brought you quite a few articles on it already such as the 17 games that will be available and video chat details.

We now have a bit more information on the Kinect device. As reported by Vlad Savov from engadget.com, it seems as though staff at the Microsoft lab have been busy making a few algorithmic optimizations, which means that it will not use too much of the processor’s power.

It also means that gamers can have more fun not having to worry about lag. The optimization is a definite improvement, as it was previously reported to use somewhere between 10 and 15 percent.

Are you getting a Kinect on launch day, or will you buy it within a console bundle? Also what games will you go for?
