Killzone: Shadow Fall single player gameplay

Upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive Killzone: Shadow Fall is expected to release on varied dates in different territories with the game launching in the US on November 15, while Europe will be getting their release two weeks later on November 29. The Japanese launch means they will have to wait until February 22, 2014, but we are starting to see some single player gameplay emerging on the popular YouTube channels, regardless of this not coming out in some regions for a couple of months.

This will be the fourth instalment for home consoles, and sixth in the series, and the upcoming Shadow Fall is a FPS that will see a return of guns like the stA-52 Assault Rifle and the stA-18 pistol, as well as the M82 Assault Rifle, along with new weapons including a hybrid sniper rifle/assault rifle.

Set 30 years after the events of Killzone 3 this next-gen title showcases the new graphics, although the extensive gameplay video above this post does not do the visual quality of this game much justice. Lasting around 17 minutes this video is ideal for those of you wanting to see the single player gameplay, and we would love to know your thoughts on this in the comments section below.

At the beginning of the month we had look at some multiplayer footage which showed off the PS4 real time graphics within the game and questioned whether gamers still feel this is worth the $60 price tag.

More recently we discussed how the multiplayer on Shadow Fall promotes skill, as Guerilla has confirmed an XP system will be replaced by the option for players to accumulate Challenge Points. This looks set to be another improvement to the successful franchise, and will be ideal for unlocking everything from weapon attachments to personal abilities and visual appearance items, which in turn intends to make the online experience more challenging.

When it comes to games on the PS4, will Killzone: Shadow Fall be one of your first acquisitions on Sony’s next-gen console?
