Killzone: Mercenary review reveals a great shooter

When the PS Vita first launched it didn’t have the best selection of games and certainly lacked first-person shooter games, but all that has changed now even though it has taken a while. Killzone: Mercenary for the PS Vita met its release date in the UK yesterday, and reviews are starting to arrive after launch.

Positive Killzone: Mercenary video review — above this article you can see a 4-minute hands-on review with the PS Vita shooter, and it showcases some gameplay along with a recap of how good this game is for the Sony handheld even if some gamers don’t agree with the strong backing for Killzone: Mercenary.

Do you think Killzone: Mercenary is a console quality AAA shooter for PS Vita? The game has certainly launched to fill that title and if this video is anything to go by, then it has achieved that goal and then some.

We have been hands-on ourselves but only for around 15 minutes, although first impression is that Killzone: Mercenary is the best shooter on PS Vita by a mile at this time. We don’t agree with every comment made in this video, but the positivity about PS Vita’s Killzone game is understandable considering the lack of good FPS games.

If you are in the United States, the release date for Killzone: Mercenary is a little longer and will launch on September 10. Will you be purchasing this title anytime soon?

You can see 14 minutes of gameplay in another article that looks at the PS Vita graphics from Killzone single-player. This visual showcase reveals true HD quality for the PS Vita.
