A great educational application has recently been released which helps young children develop fine-motor skills, is available for owners of the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. Matching Animals for Kids 1.0 is also currently being offered at an introductory price with 50% off.
Released by Minimax Games the application has young children matching animals from a collection of colorful cards. They reveal the cards to find pairs, and there are lots of different game modes. Children can even play and enjoy the game without any assistance from adults.
As the cute game is played children improve their fine-motor skills, and learn how to recognize and remember images and symbols. In total there are five different game modes from six to twenty tiles, and the game is accompanied by motivational sounds. The application also records your child’s highest score and best time.
