Update: Kentucky Derby 2016 app for leaderboard contenders

Update: We can see that the top 3 Kentucky Derby 2016 leaderboard contenders have had a bit of a change around, with Trojan Nation, Suddenbreakingnews and Creator now taking up those top 3 spots. However, these could change once agin come later.

The 2016 Kentucky Derby countdown is now into its final week, as there are just 7 days to go until the event gets underway. Fans of the event have always enjoyed the show that the organisers put on, although we know through experience that there was room for improvement.

Before we get to that, we thought we would remind you that there are several Kentucky Derby 2016 apps out there that tell you they offer details on the leaderboard, but we would advise against them and go direct to the source.

This means that you are best to head to the official website in order to see the 2016 Kentucky Derby leaderboard contenders.

On this dedicated page you will find the leaderboard rank for the Derby horses, where we can currently see that Gun Runner, Nyqvist and Exaggerator take up the top three.

Going back to making improvements to the event as a whole, and we can see that the Churchill Downs Racetrack app has made some improvements.

If you want to get around easier this year, along with the ability to order drinks and food during the event, then you can do so direct from the app. The new app is available for both Android and iOS, although the former does lack support for TwinSpires.

Other features of this app include Pin your car, place bets directly from your phone, utilize maps & directions, upgrade your in-seat experience, and even buy tickets.
