While there is continued speculation of the next generation of games consoles being in the pipeline, the current models continue to be updated via software and accessories. We now have news that just in time for Battlefield 3, an Xbox 360 super drive is coming this month.
Games are getting larger in size and downloading all that extra content quickly fills your consoles hard drive. Owners of the Xbox 360 are probably beginning to run out of space now, especially since limits have disappeared from Xbox Live. There have been some upgrade options available for a while now, but Gamepro are reporting the latest of these is due for release later this month.
A 320GB Media Hard Drive for the console that was last seen bundled with the Gears of War 3 special edition console, will be available. It will cost gamers $129.99 and comes with a download code for a full copy of Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars.
Just like previous hard drive upgrades, it is only available for owners of the more recent Xbox 360 S models. If you purchase one of the units you will need a USB stick to transfer your data, or in November a data transfer cable will be made available by Microsoft.
This will be compatible with all Xbox 360 hard drives for $19.99 and for those of you who have the Gears of War 3 console can get one early by contacting Microsoft here. Xbox 360 owners in the UK will be able to get the 320GB hard drive for £79.99.
