Just 0.55% Report iPhone 4 Problems: Apple Press Conference

At today’s Apple press conference CEO Steve Jobs said that just 0.55 percent of people owning an iPhone called AppleCare concerning an antenna problem. And just 1.7 percent was the return rate of the iPhone 4, compared to the six percent figure which was seen last year with the iPhone 3GS.

An article by the staff at AppleInsider is reporting that Steve Jobs said since they learned about the antenna issue 22 days ago they have been working hard to address it. “We’ve been working our butts off,” he said.

He went on to say “You know, we’re not perfect, “And phones aren’t perfect either. But we want to make all of our users happy. And if you don’t know that about Apple, you don’t know Apple.” The press was even treated to a glimpse inside of Apple’s secretive labs, with seventeen anechoic chambers costing $100 million.

The event started with a YouTube video “iPhone 4 Antenna Song,” which parodies the antenna issues and pokes fun at the media blowing it out of proportion.
