Josh & Emma Go to the Beach: Educational iPad app

An educational application which is the first in a series has recently been released for owners of the iPad. Josh & Emma Go to the Beach 1.0 is aimed at children aged between two and six.

Released by Jasra Inc. the app entertains children while they learn numbers, colors, and the proper names of objects. Josh and Emma are brother and sister who enjoy going on adventures with their mum and dad, and users tag along with them as they discover the world around them.

Josh and Emma explore the beach to learn about things they find like seashells and starfish. Questions are asked on each screen about the items found; users can answer them by simply touching the objects and putting them in the big red bucket. The app is narrated by a child and counts each new thing as it’s selected.

When the adventure is complete the bucket is emptied to show all the treasures that have been collected as Josh and Emma describe them by color, name, and number.

Josh & Emma Go to the Beach 1.0 is available on the App Store for only $1.99. OS 3.2 or later required.
