Johnny On The Spot app hits Kickstarter goal

The Kickstarter is a bit hit and miss because we have seen time and again how someone comes up with something they believe to be a fantastic idea, but only to realize that the public does not share that opinion. However, from time to time a real gem comes along, one that the public gets behind, just like the Johnny On The Spot app.

Ben Martin, who is a surfer from Swansea, developed the app as a personal diary for surfers. When the app was first put up for funding on the Kickstarter website we had learned that surfers would be able to record details of surfing sessions, good or bad.

Martin needed to reach a total of £1,000 in order to get his app released, which needed to be reached by March 30th, and Surf-report has now reported that the Johnny On The Spot app has hit its Kickstarter goal.

The app has now been released and can be downloaded from the App Store for free, and an Android version is already in development. We do not understand the surfing world, but our source does and they seem very pleased that this Kickstarter achieved its goal.

They are now in the process of putting the app through its paces and will offer a review of the Johnny On The Spot app in the coming weeks.
