John Lewis Broadband Vs BT, Sky prices compared in packages review

When you have come to the end of your broadband contract and ready to start looking around, it’s obvious that the two companies people try to review the best offers first are BT and Sky. We do not have an issue with this because there are essentially the two best out there, and always have some great offers. It’s for this reason why we want to look at their latest offers, and then compare them to a different company, and that is John Lewis Broadband.

First up we have John Lewis and there are three great value, unlimited broadband and phone packages. There is also no set up or activation fees, and you get a free wireless router with nothing to pay on postage and packaging. That’s not all, you also get free evening and weekend calls, and 27/7 support.

As for the three John Lewis Broadband plans there is Unlimited broadband with phone with speeds up to 17Mb. In terms of price you will pay £22.50 a month for 12 months, which will then go up to £26.50 a month thereafter based on a 12-month contract. Next is Fibre Broadband with phone with speeds up to 38Mb per second. As for pricing, this is £32.50 a month for 12 months, which then increases to £38.00 a month. Finally, there is the Fibre Extra package and has speeds up to 76Mb per second. The cost for this is £36.50 a month for a year and £43.00 after you finish your 12-month contract – although you could choose to go with a rival service to get a new deal after that.

The range of BT Broadband packages are more vast because you are able to filter them based on three options, and these are BT broadband deals, Infinity deals and finally, Unlimited deals. In the first category you have either Broadband or Unlimited Broadband, the price of which is £24.99 and £32.99, with a £9.99 up front cost. Next you have the Infinity 1, Unlimited Infinity 1 and Unlimited Infinity 2. The prices for these three options are £29.99, £39.99, and £49.99.

Finally, we have the Sky broadband packages. There are four in all and those are the Sky Broadband Unlimited, Sky Fibre, Sky Fibre Unlimited and Sky Fibre Max. The pricing of these are £15, £27.40, £37.40 and £42.40 per month. The download speeds are up to 17Mb, 38Mb, 38Mb and 76Mb respectively with a usage limit of unlimited for three of them, and capped at 25GB for the Sky Fibre option.

We know that there are more broadband services out there, but we wanted to see how John Lewis compared to the big two. And before you start worrying about the sort of service you will get, John Lewis Broadband is provided my PlusNet.
