John Lewis 60JL9000 3D Smart TV review with missing manual

Those of you who are in the UK may be feeling slightly jealous at the great prices that are available on products in the US this month. Fortunately, you’ll be interested to know that some UK retailers are willing to slash their prices too. We’ve spotted the John Lewis 60JL9000 3D Smart TV is one example of a premium range TV that is selling with a discount.

You’ll be immediately thinking that John Lewis is the name of a chain of department stores in the UK, so why are they at the front of a TV model? In actual fact, John Lewis has teamed up with Korean giants LG with the John Lewis 60JL9000 LED HD 1080p 3D Smart TV, which comes with some fantastic features.

For example, the John Lewis 60JL9000 specs include a full HD resolution of 1920×1080 pixels, with a 1000Hz Motion Clarity Index – the same technology that LG uses with their premium range.

John Lewis doesn’t specify what the native refresh rate is, but we are presuming it to be either 60Hz or 120Hz, which is more than fine for watching live sports and gaming on the Xbox One or PS4.

The 60-inch display is also fully 3D supported and you’ll get two pairs of 3D glasses inside the box. Those who love internet apps are going to be spoilt for choice too, since it is built on WebOS for intelligent organising and navigation when watching Smart apps such as Netflix, YouTube, BBC iPlayer and Spotify.

This particular model has 4 HDMI ports, along with DLNA media server support, 3 USB ports, FreeView HD support and a built-in webcam as well to enjoy Skype on the big screen – this is a feature that you are going to love we expect.

Right now, John Lewis are offering a generous £400 discount on this model, whilst stocks last. With a final price of £999 including delivery, that is a very good price for a 60-inch TV with 3D and Smart features – you’ll do well to match that anywhere else.

Don’t be fooled by the John Lewis brand, as this looks like a very solid TV. You can find out what other buyers have said about this model by reading through a John Lewis 60JL9000 review page here.

We’ve also picked out a professional review from AVForums which you can read herethey review the 55-inch model, but it is still a John Lewis JL9000 Series review.

Unfortunately we could not locate the John Lewis 60JL9000 manual as that appears to be missing from the official listing. Let us know if you find it though and your overall thoughts on what this TV offers.

Are you tempted to buy it?
