John Lennon Fingerprints and Memorabilia At Auction

During a recent auction of John Lennon Memorabilia the FBI came in and confiscated a fingerprint card, which contained the singer/songwriters fingerprints. According to an article on Newser, it had been assumed that the item would have fetched more than $100,000 at auction.

It is not yet known why the FBI confiscated this item — we are certain that people have their own thoughts on that? We do know that the fingerprints were part of John Lennon’s application to become a U.S. citizen.

RTT News said that there were also other items up for grabs at the auction, such as early demos from Lady Gaga, handwritten lyrics from Paul McCartney and Bob Dylan. There was also Elvis Presley’s brown suede jacket, and many more.

We can be certain that the biggest item of the day would have been those fingerprints — would have been interesting to see how much they would have finally sold for? Tomorrow would have been John Lennon’s 70th birthday.
