Jeep Wrangler Tailcoat concept this month is misleading

Like the Ford Bronco, the Jeep Wrangler is another vehicle that is always coming up in conversation because it is very much in need of a huge update. When we say wanted, we mean all-new models, as we have seen a few old models, appear from yesteryear, and do very well in terms of sales in the process.

We have been teased so many times before with concept models of both the Bronco and Wrangler, yet nothing progresses past the teasing stage.

It would seem that supporters of a new Wrangler for 2016, or beyond will have to put up with yet another concept, but this time from Jeep – yes we know right.

Jeep Wrangler concept for 2016

Easter Jeep Safari in Moab in March – Jeep will tease us once again this year at the event with the Wrangler Tailcoat concept and from what we can see is a very intriguing model indeed.

However, we know for certain that this model is never going to make it to production because of the engine of choice seems bonkers to us.

There is a great deal more ventilation that we are used to seeing with a Wrangler, although this may have something to do with the massive 6.2-liter supercharged V8 hiding under the hood – the very same used in the Dodge Charger and Challenger Hellcat.

Handling could become a bit if an issue when you consider this engine produces 707 horsepower; compared to the 3.6-liter V6 in the regular model with 285 horsepower.
