iWatch and Apple television set attentiveness deliberated

All Things Digital has hosted their annual D11 conference, where they had some interesting interviews, such as the one with Tim Cook. While on the hot seat, Cook had discussed his thoughts in regards to more iPhone models, and what he thought of Google Glass.

It’s clear to see that Apple is not fond of the Google device that you need to place on your head, but Cook did say that there is a future for other wearable devices, which makes us wonder if they are to consider releasing the iWatch? Cook said that he uses a Nike Fuelband and can see a great potential in the market.

Walt Mossberg asked him if Apple were considering releasing a device like the Pebble smart watch, and although it was obvious that he would switch to politician mode, he did say that it was an area that they would like to explore.

If Apple were to release the iWatch then we expect it to have a small display, not more than 2 inches, and it will integrate with other iOS devices.

Going back to his view on glasses, we have to agree with him when he says that wearing glasses is not a natural thing, and so will be far tougher to market.

Moving on to the proposed Apple television set, which was also deliberated during the same interview. Tim Cook has said that the television is very appealing to Apple, and that they are very serious about its future. He also noted that they are not doing enough to market their current Apple TV, seeing as though it is far more popular then they had assumed.

Again, Cook never came out and said that they would release their own branded Apple television set, but they have said they have a “Grand Vision,” whatever that means.

It’s clear that the attentiveness for the iWatch and Apple television set is high as ever, and seeing as these two subjects were deliberated in a positive manner, we can only hope that Apple will announce either device later this year, if not in 2014.
