iTunes Radio in iOS 7 vs. Pandora, Spotify

We have all seen the apps on the App Store allowing you to stream free music, but this is via radio station apps. With this being a popular service it was obvious that Apple wanted to get in on the action, and so they launched iTunes Radio in iOS 7, but how does it compare to Pandora and Spotify.

Before we get started there is already one big issue with iTunes Radio in iOS 7, and that is the fact it will only be available to users in the US for now. However, we do know it will be launched sometime in the autumn in the UK, or fall as it is known to the US.

We have an informative video that compares iTunes, Pandora and Spotify just to see how they differ. Okay, so this does not take into consideration the new Radio feature of iTunes, and so he may need to rethink his outcome. however, the second video shows you just how the new features works.

With the might of Apple behind iTunes Radio it is all set to shake up the market for Pandora and Spotify, which has seen long-term growth over the years, but do you think Apple’s latest service will deliver becasue it could be another of those features they launch big and quietly phase out due to not being as popular? Personally, we believe iTunes Music will be a huge success because of the huge user base.

Early signs still look rather positive for Pandora because on the eve of the iTunes Radio launch, the online streaming service shares increased by 5 percent. However, we will just have to wait and see what happens once Apple’s streaming service goes global.

Having said that, we have to remember that due to licensing constraints, people outside the U.S., Australia and New Zealand will no longer be able to listen to Pandora. Spotify is different because this service allows you to listen to content anywhere, and so does not come with the same restrictions as the other two, which you can see more details of here.

All-in-all we are in for an interesting few months, so who will come out on top?
