ITC Complaint: HTC vs. Apple – iPad, iPhone, and iPod Ban

First we had Nokia now HTC have set their sights on Apple and their devices. Today HTC have filed a complaint with the International Trade Commission asking for the ban of sales and imports of the iPad, iPhone, and iPod to the United States.

HTC have filed the complaint for the infringement of five patents, this follows Apple’s own patent lawsuit against HTC that we reported on back at the beginning of March. HTC have not filed a corresponding Federal lawsuit so far but that could be in the pipeline, so we will just have to wait and see.

This latest patent lawsuit against Apple comes after Nokia submitted their own patent violation lawsuits against the company recently. Things could get very interesting in the coming months as these big companies battle it out in the courts and in the stores. Head over to Engadget for more on this.
