If you’re a fan of Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) games such as Wakfu and Dofus, we have news that could be of interest to you. Ankama Play — the developer behind the aforementioned titles — has just announced an Xbox 360 release date for its upcoming Islands of Wakfu game.
According to Karl B over at qj.net, the downloadable action-adventure/fighting game will be arriving on Xbox Live Arcade on March 30th, with a cost of 1200 Microsoft Points. The Islands of Wakfu game will bear links to both Dofus and Wakfu, while its story will be set 10,000 years before that of Dofus.
The game sees players join teleporting Eliatrope Nora and her flying, fireball-throwing dragon brother Efrim, as they both set off on a desperate quest to find the Islands of Wakfu. Gamers will have a choice of single-player or two-player co-op modes, and will be able to choose between the 2 characters.
Island of Wakfu features a total of 14 levels and two difficulty modes including the Goddess Mode, which makes the game accessible for all players and an Initiate Mode for the more advanced players. Gameplay will switch between combat and adventure, depending on the player’s progress and character choice.
