When looking back, who would have thought that a company like Toyota would ever have to issue a recall on their vehicles? Well it seems like it becoming a common occurrence, back in September the Japanese automaker had to issue a recall due to an accelerator problem, well that problem is back once again. So is Toyota car on the recall list?
Last year the recall was due to the gas pedal sticking to the floor matt, this time the fault is due to a worn pedal mechanism. The problem was spotted by a number of factory workers, this is what sparked a further 2.3 million cars being added to the growing number of recalls.
This is a very serious problem as the accelerator can stick down when depressed, some times staying down and more often than not they return back to the normal position very slowly. Toyota has now suspended sales of eight of their 2010 models, which we have for you below.
- 2005-2010 Avalon
- 2007-2010 Tundra
- 2008-2010 Sequoia
- 2009-2010 Corolla
- 2009-2010 Matrix
- 2009-2010 RAV4
- 2010 Highlander
- Certain 2007-2010 Camry
