Is it all over for Infinity Ward?

Where did it all go wrong? Well the unpaid royalties would probably be a good start. After the departure of another two key figures at Infinity Ward, the question needs to be asked – Is it all over?

As we told you earlier on today, Programmer Jon Shirling and Designer Mackey McCandlish have now left the company after a combined stay of 14 years.

That now brings the exile count to 6, after Francesco Gigliotti, Todd Alderman, Vince Zampella and Jason West left the company after creating one of the finest games to date in Modern Warfare.

Where does this leave Infinity Ward? Activision insists that they will press on with the creative team that they still have, while Community Manager Rob Bowling states that morale remains ‘high’.

But with Respawn Entertainment leading the way forward for Zampella and Jason, is it all over for Infinity Ward? Losing six key members of any team is surely a receipe for disaster.

Give us your thoughts on this.
