We have some great news now for those of you that play iRacing.com, as we’ve just heard that the popular online, subscription-based racing simulation service is receiving a brand new build today and the developer has unveiled the release notes so you can view the list of changes.
According to Dino over at simulationworld.net, the upcoming update has now added the ability to buy a session based on the number of hours, with the options being 2, 4 and 6 hours. Players will also be able to limit the race portion of their hosted sessions by minutes, laps or both.
Players will also notice that the update has added a couple of new sections to the site footer. The first section will display exactly how many unread private forum messages that players have, while the second section will notify players when their private forum message box is full.
The personal stats page has also been updated and will now have three tabs: Career, Awards and Certificates. Players will also find that Open Practice sessions for the majority of series have now been opened up for all license levels, and IE9 has been added to the list of supported browsers.
