iPhone iOS 5 release a nail in Nokia, RIM and Motorola coffin

The cell phone market has changed so much in recent years, and it is the likes of Nokia, RIM and Motorola that is having a hard time with not only Apple but also Android and Samsung. However, if they thought things are bad now, things are set to get worse, as the iPhone iOS 5 release is a nail in the coffin for the aforementioned companies.

The first signs of this is about to happen, as Samsung is about to take Nokia’s place as the world’s number one smartphone maker. Now one cannot understand why Motorola would be facing the same issues as Nokia, as they use Android. The answer is simple and they come in pairs, that is Samsung and HTC. The duo has been on a relentless mission to launch as many handsets as they can on Google’s mobile OS, and they are being relentless.

Having said that, Motorola do have the Droid 3 coming up, but it is nothing when compared to the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S II. We haven’t even got to RIM yet, and the fact that sales of their BlackBerry handsets has been going in a downwards spiral ever since Apple introduced the iPhone back in 2007.

The problem was due to the fact that RIM was unable to adapt, but neither could Nokia or Motorola, as they never took Apple serious enough — that will teach them. Ok, so it is no secret that the Apple iPhone and the range of HTC and Samsung handsets are very good, but we would love to see the three struggling companies mount a comeback, as the market needs them.

Now with so many handsets taking up Android you can understand why the likes of RIM and Nokia are having issues, but there is no excuse for how they have allowed Apple to challenge them at their own game. Apple has just four years experience making handsets, whereas Nokia and Research In Motion has decades more. If these companies thought that things were bad now, then just wait until the iPhone has iOS 5. The reason we say this is because Apple will offer over 200 more features in this OS, and is said to be the most powerful version yet. Not only will it make the current iPhone 4 even better; just think how it will perform on the next model, which should be released in September?

Do you think that Nokia. RIM and Motorola will be able to bounce back, Nokia is doing all they can and is even working much closer with Microsoft and their Windows Phone OS?
