We mentioned in a post yesterday that the Square Payment System was now live, so we thought that we would now go in to detail about the iPhone credit card scanner processor app that works in conjunction with it. The app has been available for the iPad for one-month now, but only came live for the Apple smartphone yesterday.
The good news is, the application if free, the bad news is that the service is not. Stan Schroeder from Mashable has been taking a closer look at the app and notes how nice it looks, which is also backed up with a host of useful features — one of which is receipts being sent to you via SMS.
We must point out that the current version of this credit card scanner app does not allow for you to delete or get a transaction refund. It is too early to tell if this new system will catch on, we will have to have another review of this system in a couple of month’s time.
There are so many questions that remain unanswered, how will people warm to using a system that requires you to use your credit card with your iPhone, and will the system work out expensive in the long run.
If you have been using the new device and app, then please share your thoughts with our readers.
