The date is now set, and so we will soon have all the answers in regard to the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus models. We had presumed the event would be held on September 8th, but Apple has since confirmed and sent out event invites to selected guests.
So many questions will be answered on that day, such as what those all-important specs will be, and also the release date, and pricing; speaking of which, rumors of an iPhone 6s, and 6S Plus price hike is now looking very unlikely.
There had been rumors to suggest that a price hike was going to happen, especially with the Chinese economy going into recession, but a recent leak has pretty much confirmed to us that there will be no price increase — something that will come as great news for those of you preparing to upgrade next month.
While the Techtastic report is concerning the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus pricing in Euros, it still gives us clues that the US will also follow suit and not increase the price of this upcoming handset.
According to the leak, the 16GB iPhone 6S will cost €699, the 64GB model €799, and finally the 128GB version €899. As for the price of the larger 6S Plus, you will have to put an extra €100 on those prices.
Did you have doubts that Apple would keep the pricing the same?
