iPhone 6 size in schematic

The iPhone 6 screen size has been a huge talking point ever since the release of the 5S, as a size increase is now long overdue. Okay, so we know that the iPhone 5 was larger than it predecessor, but it was still a long way off the likes of the Galaxy S3 at the time, and currently the S5.

Most of you would agree that Apple has to increase the size of its next iPhone and we have seen what it could look like with a recent render of an iPhone 6 phablet. Just a few days ago an image was leaked showing a schematic of a future iPhone, but could it be this year’s version?

Current size compared to proposed iPhone 6 size — The iPhone 5S currently measures 123.8mm long and 58.6mm wide, while the drawing that you see above, thanks to Nowwhereelse suggests the next iPhone could measure 150mm high by 85mm wide.

To put this in perspective the Galaxy Note 3 is 151.2mm high my 79.2mm wide. If we are to believe this schematic, then that could mean the iPhone 6 would have a screen around 5.7 inches, and would back up those claims of it being a phablet instead.

You might think this is too large for the next iPhone, although there have been several rumors in the past suggesting that Apple would not release one, but two new iPhones this year. Do you think we will see an iPhone 6 with a 4.7-inch display and a 5.7-inch screen as well?

Given the choice of the two, I would rather an iPhone about the size of the Galaxy S5 and not the Note 3, as this is far too large as a phone. However, if Apple were to offer a choice of sizes, then it would be a better option than a slightly cheaper model, like the 5C.

Apple promised us a cheaper alternative, but for the difference in price it didn’t seem worth downgrading to the less expensive model.

Given the choice, would you rather Apple offer two size options for the iPhone 6, or two price options?
