iPhone 5S and 5C release date will be in Sept

After owning every generation of iPhone you learn a few things about the brand you use for a smartphone. Apple traditionally sends out event invites 7-8 days before the new iPhone event, they repackage current technology in their own way rather than launch a handset with the most cutting edge tech, and they should set an iPhone 5S and 5C release date around two weeks after the launch event.

Taking the above into account, it means we should expect the iPhone 5S along with a rumored iPhone 5C in September. This expectation comes after solid details emerged from trusted sources about Apple’s 2013 iPhone event, which should happen on September 10.

Phones Review took a look at what they call the expected “iPhone 6, 5S and 5C invite” release. This forecast is based on what we mentioned above, and that’s in regard to the gap Apple normally gives before an event for invitations to reach press and bloggers.

September 12 is when iPhone 5 met its launch event, and most of our readers will remember the “12” on the invitation with a “5” shadow that clearly gave away the iPhone 5 naming.

It would be cool to see something similar with a number “10” for the September press event, but with a shadow of a “6” to signal an iPhone 6 name. Personally, I like the iPhone 6 naming over the 5S expectation thanks to it resembling a major upgrade although it would need to deliver that in terms of iPhone 6 design and specs.

Bottom-line: while we’d love to see an iPhone 6 and 5C, our readers should expect the 5S device along with a budget model if rumors and leaks prove correct. You can also expect the invitations to contain clues but with a very different design to past invites, as Apple like to mix things up each year.

Hit the comments with your wish list for the expected iPhone 5S and 5C.
