iPhone 5C vs. 5S price in USA, UK off contract

The Apple iPhone event is over for another year, and while there were no surprises, apart from the shift from 32 bit to 64 bit, everything else is just what was expected. The iPhone 5C and the iPhone 5S were both announced and while the price of the 5S remains the same as the iPhone 5, we are shocked at the price of the 5C.

First up we will look at the iPhone 5C price in the USA, which evidently is on a two-year contract. The 16GB model costs $99 and the 32GB model will cost $199, that’s $100 more just to double up the storage. We have noticed that you will be able to purchase the iPhone 5C unlocked in the US for $549 and $649 respectively.

Next we have the iPhone 5S price in the USA, which is $199 for the 16GB, $299 for the 32GB and $399 for the 64GB on contract. The unlocked version will cost $649.00, $749.00 and $849.00 respectively.

So what about the iPhone 5C price in the UK off contract? You will pay £469.00 for the 16GB version and £549.00 for the 32GB model. The iPhone 5C pre-order date will be on September 13, with a release of the 20th.

The iPhone 5S pricing for the UK is £549.00 for the 16GB, £629.00 for the 32GB and £709.00 for the 64GB version. There is no iPhone 5S pre-order, so you will just have to go on the Apple store on September 20, or other retail websites.

While we are not shocked about the iPhone 5S prices, we are with the iPhone 5C because this was meant to be the phone for the developing markets, yet it will still be out of reach for most of them.

There is a difference of around £80 in the UK between the 5C and 5S, so some of you will be thinking while settle for something sub-par when compared to the flagship model?
