We previously brought you news that Apple was rumored to be using a 4 inch screen on their new iPhone 5. Now however the evidence to suggest this rumor being true is being questioned.
It seems a ‘leaked’ photograph of what appears to be an iPhone 5 screen outline is what started these rumors in the first place. Slashgear say the image in question is no more than some black ink on some transparency paper, arguing whether it’s credible for any type of evidence at all.
Having previously posted the rumor themselves, Slashgear now is suggesting the screen photo is more likely to be an image of Apple’s new, rumored, larger screen iPod Touch. They then go on to even doubt that suggestion, saying it doesn’t add up.
The main argument for this is the number of apps created, optimized for either iPhone or iPad, not an ‘in-between’ device. One argument that does allow for a bigger screen suggestion is that we are soon going to see dual-core technology in the iPad so why not in an iPhone/iPod?
