iPhone 5 rumors told two tales

It’s pretty much the same every year in January, when it comes to gaming and news stories, we get to look back at the last year and some of the biggest stories, although this can lead to some interesting insight when you look at the stories in hindsight.

Last year was filled with iPhone 5 rumors, a device that later became known as the iPhone 4S, and while that was the 5th generation iPhone from Apple, it can also be seen as not the true iPhone 5. This is made clearer when we look back at the large amount of rumors, and some of these tell the tale of two devices.

Most of the details rumored about the iPhone 5 could very well be about a new phone coming in 2012, which would still show at WWDC 2012, although that might not be the wish for those of you who bought the recently released iPhone 4S. How would you feel if an iPhone 5 appeared within 6 months, which could also include many enhancements not seen in the iPhone 4S, like a bigger screen and redesign?

Many popular gadgets websites, including ourselves, found solid rumors giving weight to two new iPhone models in 2011, although there was only one released, as we all know. One of these devices should’ve looked just like the iPhone 4, and as we know the 4S did just that, although what about the other redesigned model we kept hearing about?

One reason for the iPhone 5 not to release in 2011 could be related to delays, and rumors pointed to problems at certain production sources, although Apple has many of these, which includes Foxconn and Pegatron. Could Apple have another iPhone already well underway, which may be light and firm thanks to a metal back, and rounder than the square 4/4S iPhone? We think Steve Jobs had another phone that just had to wait until 2012, and this will be the device that solves many design problems of the 4S.

Do you believe the iPhone rumors last year could have told a tale of two devices, one being an iPhone 5 coming this year? Apple’s iPhone 4S has been a success, in terms of sales, although it has been met with battery life issues, which could be solved by a fuel cell battery and this has even been shown in new Apple patents. The latest iPhone 5 rumors point to a delay last year thanks to issues with LTE connections, which 4G inclusion would’ve not helped the 4S battery life problems, so we now look forward to an LTE iPhone this year with amazing battery life, if that is indeed a possibility with the current level of battery technology.
