iPhone 5 release may be only a month away following Apple job listing

The Apple rumor mill is currently going into overdrive as the company gets ready to release a whole host of new products. The Mac Lion OS X update is expected to become available today, with a new range of Mac models being launched soon after if not at the same time. The one device which many people are waiting for though is the next iPhone, especially after the device failed to make an appearance at this year’s WWDC event. Now we have news that the iPhone 5 release may be only a month away following an Apple job listing.

A job listing has come to light on employment website Reed, and according to Luke Westaway of Cnet UK may mean that the iPhone 5 may be released in the middle of August. The job listing is seeking people as full time iPhone sales assistants to work five days a week. The job is a temporary one which normally happens when Apple are looking to launch a major new product.

It covers the period from August 16th through to October 29th in key retail stores, and the listing is on the website several times with different areas of the UK covered. Apple is always very secretive when they are leading up to a product launch, and have hired recruitment agency Gekko Ltd to help recruit new Geniuses on behalf of the company.

The job listing is looking for candidates that have some experience in selling cell phones or have a strong user experience of the iPhone. They must also have a passion and keen interest in Apple products with exceptional communication skills, and the pay is £75 per day.

Successful candidates will work closely with other staff and management to make and increase sales of the iPhone. Applicants must be able to commit to the length of time stated, and if successful they will be given full training for four days in the London area between the 9th and 12th of August.

This job posting may not mean the iPhone 5 is releasing in August as the vacancies go thorough to the end of October. But what it does mean is Apple has already begun gearing up its retail operations in readiness for the handset release. Do you think the iPhone 5 will be released during August? Or will it be later?
