Each year Apple never confirms a single rumor until their event keynote, and while this year is pretty much the same, the amount of leaks taken place in 2012 lead us to some major assumptions that are likely to be proven correct within the next 32 hours. We’ve had some extremely solid evidence towards the iPhone 5 release date already, but today the launch window has been narrowed down further thanks to a delivery company.
Apple rarely move away from tradition when it comes to their events, and the expected iPhone 5 release date would be around 8-9 days after the reveal, which had also been supported by major carriers blocking vacations around this time. Today it seems like FedEx are narrowing the iPhone 5 launch date to somewhere between Sept 21-24.
This further evidence is thanks to a letter this source managed to get hold of, and adds to the speculation that the new iPhone 5 will release in the United States, UK, and other main countries just over a week after the reveal tomorrow. You can see an image of the FedEx letter below, which shows that employee training and travel will be limited during a period that’s expected to include the release date for iPhone 5.
It is true that this letter doesn’t directly confirm the iPhone 5 will in fact launch during this time, but taking everything else into account and the knowledge that FedEx is Apple’s main partner used for shipping new iPhone’s, then it’s pretty obvious what is going on here. You can also expect other delivery companies to be used when shipping the iPhone 5, especially considering the millions of pre-orders expected.
iOS 6 release date and time – yesterday we took a look at Apple events for the last couple of years, and then looked at how long after these events it took Apple to allow users to download the next major software upgrade. You can see that article here, which shows roughly when the iOS 6 release date will happen based on Apple’s past events, so you can almost certainly count on things being the same this year just like they are looking for the iPhone 5 release date.
If you are planning on watching the Apple iPhone 5 keynote then check back tomorrow for our live blog roundup, or for now see our article on live video streams, which some websites are claiming will go live during the keynote.
