The uNu DX iPhone 5 battery case aims to help the life of your phone in a number of ways, which includes protecting the iPhone 5 against knocks and also increasing its battery life thanks to the extra juice it provides. We have already heard about a number of iPhone 5 owners complaining about battery drain problems, and while this is almost certainly software related we can only smile at the possibility of double the battery life with uNu.
If you snap-on the uNu DX iPhone 5 battery case then you can expect to gain another 2300mAh battery, which is stated to provide “more than double the battery life“. The case is just 15mm thick and considering this is a battery case, it is really thin compared to some of the other cases on the market. This is a massive improvement on previous battery cases we’ve seen and one of the best uNu has offered so far.
CES 2013 is one of the biggest electronics events that takes place every year, so of course uNu were there showcasing their new cases. The uNu DX has a price of $79.95 and will see a release between the middle and end of February. The video also features another uNu battery case for the iPhone 5, which features an LED on the back of the phone. This allows for different messages to be displayed on the back for various notifications, although the unit demoed in the video is currently a prototype.
