For those of you anxiously waiting for details on what the iPhone 5 will look like, we can tell you that going on clues from a leaked case it will be a major evolution. There seems to be a lot of back and forth going on here, first we expected a new design, then just a minor update, now we are back to square one again. However, this latest news seems to be gaining more momentum, as you can see from this video from a recent article about iPhone 5 leaks.
The image that we have above, which you can see in more detail over on Mobile Fun offers up some remarkable details on what the next iPhone will look like, and it will be very different to the current version. Now there is nothing wrong with the design of the iPhone 4, but who wants to spend hundreds of dollars on a new device that looks like the one that is over a year old?
So let’s say that these images are genuine, then you will have to say goodbye to the iPhone 4, as you will want to get your hands on what is considered to be a “radical evolution.” The display is the first thing that you will notice; the size of the phone is the same, but the screen will now be 4-inches, which is what we have been saying for some time now.
Apple will be taking a step back with the form factor with the iPhone 5, as it will have a curved back once again, as well as being made from metal. This might not go down well with some fans of Apple’s smartphone, because it will be like having the 3GS all over again without the plastic rear. However, there will be more than enough changes in other areas to take your mind of this minor issue.
The home button looks to still be there, but the design has changed a little. Instead of the button there will now be a touch-sensitive one there — so looks like the home button might finally be outlawed on the iPhone 6. You will also notice that buttons on the side have been switched to the opposite side. This is great for those who are right handed, because it is much easier to control them with your thumb. However, we do fear that this could become an issue when using the volume to take a snap with the camera.
With many of the top Android handset on the market now having a curved design, it makes sense for Apple to count the iPhone 4 as a design experiment that did not work. If this case does show us what the iPhone 5 will look like, then it looks like Apple could be back on track once again.
