iPhone 4S, 5 case with a cup holder

Looking at the amount of innovative ideas that developers have used to accommodate the use of smartphones around the world, when we tell you about a cup holder case for your iPhone 4S and 5, you may wonder what will come next? The UpperCup is an iPhone case for those of you looking at a morning cup of coffee and your smartphone wondering whether the two should be connected in anyway.

While some may feel this is a laughable gadget, others may wonder if that coffee hasn’t woken up the vacant minded bed heads amongst us yet. With this in mind, putting that phone up to your ear could be a real eye opener for those forgetting to detach their drink. All joking aside, this design is being reported in an article on Geekologie with images of this iPhone 4S / 5 case in action, and this idea of having food and hot liquid within close proximity of your precious device has also been contemplated with a ramen soup bowl iPhone holder, which works the opposite way around but with the same intentions.

At the moment, the UpperCup is just an Indiegogo project so we are sure that this will require a fair amount of investment to become a distinct possibility. On the same site, they mention those beer holder hats that have been around for years, although I must admit to owning one in the past, which was used more often than initially expected. On the same principal, there has been talk of the ramen soup bowl iPhone holder being a useful product for fast food restaurants to stock, although would you rather see cups with iPhone holders in your local Starbucks?
