iPhone 4: New Display Close-Ups before Release Date

We have a real treat for those of you planning to pick up the new iPhone 4 from Apple on June 24th, as we have some all-new images of the stunning Retina Display for you to take a look at now.

The pictures come to us courtesy of BGR, who have uploaded two close-up images of the display screen – giving us a real good look at pixel quality on the device.

The first image shows how the NYTimes website looks on the new display screen – pretty clear you have to say, while the second shows a zoomed-up version of the same website, so you can see some text in finer detail.

A lot has been said about Apple’s new Retina Display – what are your thoughts on it? Do you think it is the best screen you have ever seen in a smartphone?
